Hey kiddos.

Well, this rather sucks. But the -ness that was going to be hosting a table together at Katsucon 2010, alas won't be happening anymore. Nowhere in any of their FAQs or rules did they state so (I had to register for the forums and bug a moderator to get any kind of answer), but Alley artists have to be 18 or older as of the first day of the con. Unfortunately, that doesn't apply for Miss Marina. Dx

We were looking forward to it like crazy, I even left a DS/PSP party at Crystal ~wizardofkitty's apartment to rush back to my computer/wallet and register the second the application was posted, at 11:59pm. I typed lightning-fast and it seemed we were in good shape, and we were chattering away on AIM excited to hear back from them...and then I got that bad feeling and asked about the age. Turns out we were right.

Okay, huge disappointment, but IT'S OKAY, REALLY. We didn't want to sell if we weren't going to be together having fun doing it, so instead we're going to be attending Katsucon just as normal congoers. xD Which means...COSPLAY!

My cosplay schedule for Katsu:

Friday: Fai D. Flourite (Celes version) of Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE, with Marina =umi-kun as Kurogane (mmmmyes, FINALLY x3)

Saturday: Haruko Haruhara of FLCL (with my Rickenbacker this time!), with Marina =umi-kun as Allelujah Haptism, Lindsay ~wolvendancer as Tieria, Ashley ~meepitsmanga as Setsuna, and Emily ~Kwippy as Lockon, all of Gundam OO (ROBOT ANIME CLASH)

Sunday: SECRET COSPLAY WITH MARINA~

Floaters: Rosette Christopher of Chrono Crusade with Chelsea *midgarangel as Azmaria Hendrich (and possibly Greg Ayres himself as Chrono?!), and possibly some version of Maka (maybe school dance) if I can get that done in time. Also, secret Chrono Crusade cosplay, if and only if I can get it done. xD

In other news, CHRISTMAS SOON! HEEEEE! I'm heading home in...er, well, about seven hours (should probably sleep) to pick out a Christmas tree with my family. I've really enjoyed this Christmas season so far, it's been awesome. My roommates Alice (you remember her as my Chrono), Sandy ~Sake-Kohei, and Christina ~milesaway52 utterly spoiled me with plateware, silverware, a gift card for cosplay fabric, and a neat little gadget that'll let me make my own vanilla lattes. And Liz ~catchat105 made me these ADORABLE hand-knit handwarmers! In my favorite color, too! I feel so blessed to have such awesome friends. <333

DO THAT CHRISTMAS MEME I POSTED IN MY LAST JOURNAL! You have no idea how fun it's been seeing what people want for Christmas...and it helps me out in knowing what I can do for you, too. xD

This week has been nonstop craziness due to finals...I studied most of Tuesday for my Graphic Design History final that evening, spent Wednesday in the darkroom (literally...from lunchtime until 7 or so), spent yesterday mounting said photo prints for presentation, and spent today...well, generally being a bum. Monday, I have my Japanese written exam and my final photography crit. I'm probably spending that Wednesday schlepping stuff from our art building to the brand new multimedia building, with Steph *Skwinky and Crystal ~wizardofkitty, like the awesome lab rats techs we are. x3

Sorry commissions have been on hold...I've only been pumping out doodles and one very important birthday present. Next up is Tom ~Quiggz's and I promise I will be updating the list soon. Once I go on holiday officially, I'll have a lot more time to get them done. Hopefully I can get them mailed out in time for Christmas!

THE BASICS: write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible.
