Well. Let's see.

About a year and a few months ago, around the release of the Jump Festa 2005 trailer for Kingdom Hearts II, I had an idea. Like, you don't understand. It was HUGE. I was standing in the bathroom straightening my hair, and had to run and dash off this long list of chapter names on a piece of loose-leaf paper so I wouldn't forget. And thus, "THIS TIME, I'LL FIGHT" was born.

Basically, this fiction has been going on since that day, and I just recently updated with Chapter 21: End of the Tunnel. "This Time, I'll Fight" is an epic fanfiction I began writing starting with the very end of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and heading forward. While I used a ton of info I saw in trailers and the like up until about December 2005, my interpretation of it all is completely original. "This Time, I'll Fight" is the continuation of the Kingdom Hearts storyline--MY WAY.

Kairi is the character I focus on the most. I used the quote from ASAS: Deep Dive, taking a leap of faith and hoping it would be her who said that (I was right, whoopee!). After she leaves Destiny Islands by a freak miracle and ends up in Hollow Bastion in her school uniform, Yuffie and Aerith decide she needs a makeover...and here is the end result.

This is my first time coloring with Photoshop. Original drawing done in mechanical pencil, scanned, and painted in CS2.
